Kicks for a Cause

Through the program, community members can donate basketball shoes they no longer need. MCBA then cleans, sorts and resells suitable shoes at affordable prices, helping make basketball more accessible for our community while reducing waste and keeping quality footwear out of landfill.

Whether you’re clearing out a cupboard, upgrading your sneakers, or looking for a budget-friendly pair of basketball shoes, Kicks for a Cause is a great way to support local basketball and sustainability.

How It Works

1. Donate

Drop off your pre-loved shoes in one of our Kicks for a Cause collection bins.

2. We Prepare Them

MCBA staff and volunteers inspect, clean and sort donated shoes.

3. Affordable Resale

Suitable shoes are offered for sale at affordable prices, helping more people get involved in basketball without the high cost of new footwear.

4. Supporting Our Community

Every pair of shoes reused helps reduce waste and makes basketball more accessible for local players and families.

Where Can I Donate?

Kicks for a Cause collection bins are located in the MSAC foyer on competition days.

We welcome shoes in good, wearable condition.

Looking to Buy?

From time to time, shoes will be available for purchase at MCBA events and competition days.

Any shoes that remain unsold will be listed below in our Kicks Marketplace, where players and families can browse available stock and purchase a pair at an affordable price.
