Girls & Women’s Coaching Mentorship Program, delivered by MCBA
MCBA is excited to invite expressions of interest for our upcoming Girls & Women’s Coaching Mentorship Program, beginning in early May.
This selective program is designed to support motivated female coaches and emerging leaders who are committed to developing their coaching knowledge, leadership skills, and confidence within our community. With only 20 places available, participants will be selected based on current involvement within the association, leadership potential, commitment to coaching pathways, and availability to attend scheduled Sunday sessions.
Successful applicants will take part in 10 mentoring sessions led by our:
- Basketball Development Manager: Jasmine Goodman
- Melbourne Tigers Head of High Performance: Nick Abdicevic
- Junior Girls Director of Coaching: Bonnie Holman
- Special guest coaches from elite Victorian and Australian basketball programs

‘Lead Your Way’ Leadership Program, delivered by Basketball Victoria
We’re excited to share an opportunity for young women within our community to take part in the ‘Lead Your Way’ Leadership Program, delivered by Basketball Victoria.
Designed for young women aged 13–17 years, this interactive leadership course aims to develop a cohort of participants who gain a stronger understanding of their communication style, team building approach, and individual leadership strengths. The program focuses on practical learning experiences, with minimal classroom-based activities and plenty of opportunities to actively engage and collaborate.

For Successful Applicants:
• Pre-course online DISC assessment to be completed by 29 March 2026
• Course dates: 13–15 April 2026
• Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm daily
• Location: State Basketball Centre
